I suppose you all have heard the news.

It's been joked about for years, rumored for months, and now, Hasbro itself has confirmed it. It may be difficult to come to terms with, but I encourage you all to step back for a second and think. I am, of course, referring to the fact that in the Season 3 finale, Twilight Sparkle is going to turn into an acorn.
Before you go and jumped to any conclusions, let's take a moment to reflect on the implications of this. The dictionary describes an acorn as 'the fruit of the oak, a smooth oval nut in a rough cuplike base.' But how will this change the unicorn we know and love? How will this effect the rest of the main six? What will season 4 be like? Will Fluttershy and Twilight feel closer because they both would be plants? Who knows. What I do know is that the staff knows what they are doing. I trust that they will continue make a great cartoon for all ages, even if the main character needs to photosynthesize at times.
